Virtual Numbers

The clue is in the name 'virtual'. The number doesn't exist at a physical location. Calls to a virtual number can be routed to anywhere that suits your personal requirements.

    Understanding Virtual Numbers

What is a virtual landline number?

It's a real number but doesn't directly connect to a fixed landline. A virtual phone number is a cloud-based service that allows you to choose a number for any geographic location in the UK.

    Who would use one?

A virtual number is a great way to present yourself as closer than you really are. Businesses trying to sell to organistaions in adjacent towns can get a great benefit from advertising a virtual number without actually having premises in the are they are targetting their business.

    How is it delivered?

All virtual numbers are delivered to ordinary lines via an Intelligent Network, this allows for conditions to be set (and changed when needed) so call flow is achieved in an efficient manner.

    Why get a virtual number?

Business demands a dynamic phone solution. That's why virtual numbers are ideal for smaller businesses. They allow you to 'seen' in your wider local area.

    What we provide.

We can give you a standard area code for every town and city in the United Kingdom. But you don't need that, chances are you just want to appear to a bit closer to somewhere than you currently are. For example a business in Market Harborough (01858) might want to be more associated with Leicester (0116) or Northampton (01604). It's not that these places are any better, but to appear 'really local' can be an advantage, though it depends what you're selling.

    Number selection

Picking numbers is never easy, probably because there are so many to choose from. Our application forms contained a limited selection of numbers, if one is right for you, just select it and we will have it connected for you in no time at all.

If you need help, a list of even more numbers to browse, or maybe need something a bit more memorable then get in touch with our back office support team and we will be happy to help.

    Already have a number?

OFCOM have stated that number portability agreements should exist to allow end users the right to move between suppliers. There are many and various reasons why you may choose to leave your current supplier, pricing increases or bad service are the most notorious. The transfer is seemless so you have no need to be concerned. If you have been using one of these numbers, your customers will have got used to it by now, number portability allows you to transfer to another provider for whatever reason. Contact us if you more information on how this works.
